Position Expectations :
The goal of the Event Captain is to lead the event staff alongside the Event Service Manager. Together, they will provide leadership, serve as the point of contact for event-related matters, and troubleshoot any issues that may arise. The Event Captain will take responsibility and initiative for the space, our staff, service, and the setting, along with timing and general client happiness. Understanding that they may be pulled in many directions, the Captain should act as the 'nucleus' for the team.

The ideal candidate has at least 1-2 years experience working in catering and events
Exhibits strong leadership qualities.
Previous experience in a leadership role is preferred, but not required.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with staff, guests, and other department heads.
Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required by the demands of the business.

This role is substantially busier during specific months of the year, and will allow for a flexible schedule during slower months.
The event schedule varies from week to week, with average hours ranging from 15-30+ per week.
Most event shifts are 10-12 hours long.

$25 per hour + tips.
Training pay $20 per hour.
